About Jane Robin

Jane Robin is a Texas-based visual artist known for her vibrant use of color, expressive brushwork, and heartfelt storytelling. Her work spans portraits, abstracts, and landscapes. Each piece radiating warmth, texture, and emotional depth. Working primarily in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, Jane’s paintings bring character and energy to both residential and commercial spaces.

A lifelong student of her craft with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Jane has studied with acclaimed artists including Kate Manzo (Introduction to Classical Painting), Polly Liu (Portrait Painting I, II, III at Art League Houston), and Mark Mitchell (Children’s Illustration I, II, III at The Contemporary Austin School). She also completed an immersive artist residency in Tuscany, Italy, where she focused on Old Masters portraiture and Kitsch Philosophy under Nic Thurman.

Jane’s artwork has been featured in exhibitions at:

  • Grand Bohemian Hotel – The Kessler Collection
  • Art for the People Gallery (Featured Artist: “Flourish,” “Spark of Wonder”)
  • Vaughn Gallery (“Jolie Soirée,” “Group Therapy”)

Rooted in her Southern heritage and infused with her true Texas flair, Jane creates from her Austin studio, often with her loyal poodle, Phyllis, by her side. Through her art, she invites viewers to feel, imagine, and see the world in color.

Testimonials

We are fortunate enough to have several pieces of Jane Robin's art throughout our house. Each one provides a light of life and inspiration for us. The depth of detail and colors are mesmerizing. We know she puts her heart and soul into every piece, which shines through out our entire house. ❤️

In 1996, my husband and I commissioned Jane Robin for a mural in his office that was admired by too many to count. In 2022, we decided to purchase property on 30A. We knew we wanted her touches in our Florida home and commissioned her again! She has brought beauty and pleasure to our lives for years!

My Jane Robin Atelier print is the perfect addition to the picture wall in my house. I had to do some adjusting to fit it in, but it is totally at home now. I love all the pops of color especially the orange. It’s calming and makes me think of my son & his girl in Colorado - always longing for the mountains with crisp mornings & the most beautiful sunsets. With a silver & black frame, it gives the print a 3 dimensional feel & creates movement. I love my print and it's a beauty. One day I will live in Colorado, but for now I can get my mountain fix from my Jane Robin’s print!
